Crazy Horse ( Tashunke witko )

Crazy Horse is known as the greatest warrior ever of the Oglala Sioux ( Teton Lakota ). Was born in 1849.
From eyewitness descriptions we know that Crazy Horse was about six feet tall, with a lean face and thin, sharp nose. It was said that he always wore a white buckskin shirt and dark blue leggings, with two feathers hanging loose in his hair and his long braids were wrapped in beaver fur almost the color of his hair. There are no authenticated photographs of Crazy Horse and he was known to resist having his photograph taken. Several years after his death, two or three images have been presented as being photographs of him.  A photograph is documented by Carroll Friswold as having been taken at Fort Robinson at the urging of a friend ( Little Bat ) seems the most likely to be an actual photograph of Crazy Horse.

The legendary warrior was never photographed, this photo is not Crazy Horse, but is a photo of a Lakota named No Neck, a chief who surrendered with Crazy Horse in 1877.
