 |
The meaning of the shield:
The deerskin cover of the shield
is embellished with a striking representation of
a buffalo bull, the owners guardian spirit,
which was revealed to him in a vision during a
period of fasting and prayer.
This has been translated into an image that is at
once both powerful and emotionally, immediately
realized through the animal itself, upswept
horns, hoof and, unwavering gaze.
